Guangzhou College of Commerce (GCC), recruited its first batch of students in 1999, was formerly known as Zengcheng College of South China Normal University.
It is the first second-class college, the first higher education institute carrying out sino-foreign joint training undergraduate-level program in Guangdong and one of the first-batch independent colleges in China.

GCC has developed an academic mechanism with Management and Economics as focuses and with a wide range of subjects (Literature, Law, Technology, Arts, etc. ) for coordinated development in disciplinary construction.

    Currently, GCC offers more than 30 undergraduate-level programs         for  full-time students of 16799.
 

    In 2017, GCC, selected as "China's First-class Private College",                 ranked the first in Guangdong and twelfth nationwide in Wu
    Shulian Rankings of China's Private Colleges' Integrate Strength.

   In 2018, GCC was listed as “ China's Best Private College” and ranked first in Guangdong in Airuishen Alumni Network Rankings of China's Private Colleges.
The location of GCC is at the core area of “Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City” in Guangzhou Development Zone. Guangzhou Development Zone, as Guangzhou City’s window to reform and opening-up, is one of the most competitive national development zones in China, attracting more than 100 Fortune 500 international corporations’ investment projects. “Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City” is a national bilateral cooperation project jointly carried out by Guangdong Province and Singapore for the building and exampling of industrial transformation and upgrading.
