【Visiting Enterprises and Promoting Employment】Deputy Dean Yang Yueqing of the International College Leads a Research Exchange Visit to Tencent in Shenzhen

On April 15, Yang Yueqing, Deputy Dean of the International College, led 17 students from 2023 International Class of Intelligent Science and Technology (Industry-Education Integration) to Tencent (Shenzhen) for a field visit and exchange. This visit is aimed at further advancing the special action of "Visiting Enterprises and Promoting Employment(访企拓岗促就业),” expanding the channels for graduates’ employment, and strengthening the understanding of cutting-edge digital technology innovation areas among teachers and students. Liu Chang and Yu Shiyang, International College full-time teachers, and counselor Cao Lei accompanied the group. The teachers and students were warmly welcomed by the company.

The teachers and students first visited the office environment of Tencent, experiencing firsthand the modern and humane work atmosphere advocated by Tencent. Next, guided by professional interpreters, the students visited the Tencent exhibition hall, where they gained detailed insights into Tencent's development history, the frontiers of industrial Internet trends, and the current operation status of the Cloud and Smart Industry Group. Subsequently, the students participated in an industrial internet lecture arranged by Tencent to further understand the latest developments and future trends in intelligent technology. During the interactive session of the lecture, students actively asked questions and engaged in pleasant exchanges with Tencent experts.

During the visit, Yang Yueqing stated that the core goal of the special action ‘Visiting Enterprises and Promoting Employment’ was to build a close cooperative bridge between universities and enterprises to promote the effective connection of educational resources with industry demands, thus achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes for both parties. Universities carrying out the special action of 'Visiting Enterprises and Promoting Employment' could deeply understand the operating models, technological requirements, and talent development strategies of enterprises, thereby optimizing educational content, improving students' practical abilities, and enhancing their employment competitiveness. At the same time, through cooperation with universities, enterprises could discover and cultivate potential talent, injecting vitality into the continuous innovation and development of the company.
