Representatives from Griffith University Visited GCC for Collaboration

On March 27th, the delegation from Griffith University visited Guangzhou College of Commerce and discussed potential cooperation between the two sides. Representatives were Andreas Chai, director of Financial Crimes Investigation and Compliance, Anna Kewk, director of the International Department of the School of Business and Sherman Xia, head of Marketing for Greater China. Guo Hang, vice President of GCC, Hong Zhenhua, vice dean of International College, Li Cailing, assistant dean of the International College, and relevant personnel from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office attended the meeting. The two sides discussed the joint dual degree program and master's degree program.

Guo Hang warmly welcomed Anna Kewk and the delegation and introduced in detail the development of GCC’s internationalization, the philosophy of school running, and the achievements of talent cultivation. Guo Hang said that the university actively promotes multidisciplinary development, creates a globalized and internationalized campus environment for students, and is committed to cultivating application-oriented talents with an international outlook. He wished that the two sides would further strengthen communication, and strive to promote the implementation of cooperative programs to provide students with more professional choices and development opportunities.

Anna Kewk introduced Griffith University in detail from the professional discipline settings, business accreditation, campus environment, faculty and student profiles, and expressed her expectation for in-depth cooperation with GCC. Andreas Chai made a detailed introduction of the program building, credit settings, talent cultivation goals of the Financial Crime Investigation and Compliance. He pointed out that the program is committed to cultivating students into compound and application-oriented talents, and the program has broad employment prospects and application potential. Representatives of Griffith University expressed their hope that the two universities would take this meeting as an opportunity to actively carry out international education cooperation programs and work together to educate internationalized talents.

At the meeting, the two sides also carried out in-depth exchanges on mutual recognition of credits, curriculum alignment, MOU signing and other aspects.
