On December 20-22, the 14th National Annual Conference on Sino-foreign Cooperative Education was held in Zhengzhou, supported by the International Department of the Ministry of Education, co-sponsored by the Research Committee on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education of China Association of Higher Education and the Department of Education of Henan Province, and hosted by Zhengzhou SIAS University. Yin Rui, executive president of GCC, Guo Hang, vice president of GCC, and Hong Zhenhua and Yang Yueqing, vice deans of the International College, attended the conference. Invited by the conference, Guo Hang delivered a keynote speech in the sub-forum of the conference.

Focusing on the theme of “Sino-foreign Cooperative Education with the Goal of Building a Strong Country in Education: International Influence, Innovation and Prospect”, the conference adopted the forms of conference report, round-table dialogues and keynote speeches to focus on the new policies and requirements of Sino-foreign cooperative education. The conference aimed to interpret the regulations and laws, promote exchanges of experience, guide the practice of operating schools, and provide a platform for the new development of Sino-foreign cooperative education with policy support, professional support and talent guarantee. The conference was held on a large scale, with more than 800 university secretaries, presidents, directors of international offices, deans and heads of Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions and programs, and deans of international colleges participating in the conference.

Guo Hang made a speech entitled “Innovation of Talent Cultivation Mode of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education” in the sub-forum of the conference. In his speech, Guo Hang elaborated on the university's goal of cultivating practical talents in the new era with the abilities of adaptation, organization, innovation and happiness and with a broad vision and strong foundation in various aspects as well as a high sense of social responsibility and mission. He took the talent cultivation model in different Sino-foreign cooperative educational programs of Guangzhou College of Commerce as examples and demonstrated the achievements of cooperative education of the university. Guo Hang said that the university would continue to focus on the major strategies of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong's economic and social development, and has always insisted on the concept of international education, striven to build a brand of internationalization, and continuously cultivated high-quality and application-oriented talents to contribute to the region's economy and the society.
