On July 8th, a meeting on summarizing the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year and discussing the construction and development of the college was held in the International College. Guo Hang, vice president of the university and dean of International College, Zhong Yuanhui, secretary of the Party branch of International College, Yang Yueqing, Hong Zhenhua, vice deans of International College, and Wang Xintong, office director, attended the meeting which was presided over by Guo Hang.

Participants reported the current situation, problems and development plan of the college from the aspects of Party building, students, teaching, scientific research, teachers and talents, discipline development, etc. They also had an in-depth discussion on the construction of specialties, curriculum, teams of teaching staff, brand building, high quality of further education and employment, etc., and made suggestions for the college's construction and development in the new academic year.

Guo Hang put forward the requirements for the work of the International College in the new academic year. Firstly, the college shall give full play to the advantages of international education, continue to introduce foreign advanced teaching methods, and promote the Sino-foreign joint construction of curricula, majors and scientific research. The second is to optimize the curriculum system, strengthen the construction of first-class courses, and improve teachers' digital teaching ability. Thirdly, the college should continue to strengthen team building of teachers and talents to improve the level of teaching. The fourth is to condense the characteristics of the college, give full play to the advantages of all departments, and enhance the capacity of brand building. Fifth, alumni contact needs to be enhanced, so as to promote high-quality further education and employment with the leading role of excellent alumni. Guo said that the college will continue to empower the construction of discipline and curriculum, teaching reform, faculty team building and characteristic development, etc., to promote the quality of talent cultivation and high-quality development of the International College.
