GCC was authorized by the Ministry of Education to cooperate with Southern New Hampshire University in the US to jointly conduct the undergraduate program of Internet Finance with the approval number MOE44US2A20222265N. This is the third Sino-foreign cooperative education program of the college after the approval of the majors of Accounting (jointly organized with University of Southern Queensland, Australia) and Logistics Management (jointly organized with Bellevue University, USA).

       This 4-year program is included in the enrollment plan of national colleges and universities and students are admitted by taking the College Entrance Examination. The program will enroll students in the fall of 2022, with a planned enrollment of 120 students. Internet Finance in  GCC is a provincial specialty construction program, aiming to introduce overseas high-quality educational resources, cultivate talents for new liberal arts construction, and meet the needs of educating applicative talents in Internet Finance with bilingual ability, international vision and international competitiveness in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

      School leaders attach great importance to international education, and preparation for the program application has lasted for a long time. The application of the program was led by the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and the relevant staff of the International College and School of Economics actively cooperated with the University of Southern New Hampshire, USA, to jointly complete the application materials and lay a solid foundation for the approval of the program. This program is of great significance to respond to the Belt and Road Initiative, expand the opening of education to the outside world, serve the local economic and social development, boost the construction of high-level applicative universities within the college, and promote the construction and development of related disciplines. It will also have a positive impact on the education and teaching reform, talent training mode, school-running philosophy and talent training quality of our college.
