On October 11, Guangzhou College of Commerce completed registration for international students for the Fall 2025 semester. Approximately 59 new students from 12 countries and regions arrived on campus, marking the start of their academic journey. This year’s orientation emphasized efficiency, warmth, and diversity. A one-stop registration system was in place, helping students quickly settle in and complete the necessary procedures. The approach reflects the college’s steady progress in building an international learning environment that is both distinctive and welcoming.
Smart Services Enable Efficient Registration
To ensure a smooth and well-organized arrival for international students, and to help them quickly adapt to campus life, Guangzhou College of Commerce coordinated efforts across relevant departments. Each unit took responsibility for its role, with careful attention paid to every step of the registration process to ensure safety, efficiency, and order throughout the orientation period.
On registration day, Guangzhou College of Commerce set up several pick-up spots at the airport, railway stations, and other key locations. Teachers and volunteers arrived early to welcome the new arrivals. At the registration site, staff helped students complete their paperwork with patience and care. Volunteers moved through different areas, offering help in English and other languages, answering questions, and guiding students through each step. They also lent a hand with luggage and dorm check-in, making sure the newly arrived international students felt supported and at ease from the very start.
Leadership Presence Brings Warmth to New Arrivals
Vice President Zhou Peng and President's Assistant (also Director of the Student Affairs Office) Ou Ying of Guangzhou College of Commerce led a team to the front line of orientation and registration. They visited registration sites and student dormitories, warmly engaging with new students, extending warm regards to volunteers and staff and expressing appreciation for their hard work. The leadership team also inquired in detail about registration procedures, dormitory arrangements, and logistical support for international students.
