Students from International College Won a Bronze Award in the Final of the 1st National Supply Chain Competition

On 16 th May 2020, the team of "Encounter Huang Xiaoci" from International College, Guangzhou College of Commerce won the first prize in the quarterfinals and a bronze award in the final competition. This team consists of four students and two instructors. They are students Yuting He, Rui Huang, Xiangyu Liu, who are from 2017 Logistics Management, International College, and Yanci Yu who is from 2018 Logistics Management, International College, and instructors Xiaojuan Huang and Zongqi Mai, who are leading the team and won the outstanding instructor title in the competition.
  The competition lasted for 4 months, with 489 universities involved from 29 provinces and autonomous regions. To form the most competitive team, students from the International College were carefully selected. Jumping out from the preliminary, this team then advanced to the quarterfinals and won the first prize among 542 teams. After a heated contest, they finally won a bronze award in the final.
  Sponsored by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, this competition is organized basing on the concept of supply chain management. By mocking up supply chain operations, this competition aims to effectively practice students’ skills of supply chain management simulation and creativity of operational planning, strengthen students’ capability and awareness of supply chain management and improve teamwork and innovation.
