The 2nd "CPAAU Cup Corporate Finance Case Analysis" Competition of International College ended successfully

On the afternoon of December 19, the International College launched the second CPAAU Cup Corporate Finance Case Analysis Competition at the International College room 101. Professor Zhi Ling of the International College, Professor Jin Dayong, Mai Chulin, Rutan, Arthur and Max Shao of the Australian Institute of Certified Public Accountants acted as judges for this competition.

The purpose of the competition is to further improve students' professional skills and innovation ability, encourage students to seek innovation, while creating a good academic atmosphere, enhance students ’team spirit and cohesion. The international college specially plans the second CPAAU Cup, which is the company's financial case analysis competition, to establishes a training platform for students and a platform for self-exhibition. This competition is a collaboration between the International College and the International Institute of Accountants. It is assisted and sponsored by the Australian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. It is intended to give students of the International College a chance to develop their abilities.

During the competition, each team conquer the audience with fluent English, professional financial analysis skills and great slide display. Each team had to answer the professors ‘questions after the show. It is a great opportunity for students to understand the application of financial knowledge in the enterprise and the operation and management behind the enterprise, also understand the analysis process of the enterprise's operation and expected development status and obtain the investment advice given by each team.

Through excellent and rough competition, the Ping an group won the first prize, the Sony team won the second prize, the Ctrip and S.F. Express teams won the third prize, and the Trip team, Coca Cola team, Bilibili team and Gree team won the excellent awards.

Finally, Daine, one of the instructors, also affirmed the contestants' performance and summarized the competition.Saying that, giving a corporate analysis requires some time, but the groups did well to present all their findings in 10 minutes or so.The groups presented well. They were confident in their demeanor, authoritative in their speech, informative in their content, and interesting in their PPTs.The participating groups had to select a corporation, analyze it, then present us with their findings. Group work teaches you collaboration and accountability. Researching will improve your skills and at the same time you’re learning more about the subject matter. Analysis is knowledge in action, and presenting is sharing your knowledge and getting your point across.These are all skills you will use in your work life, so how can you go wrong! Events like this are preparation for your future, and can only benefit you. You don’t have to settle for who you are now — you get to create who you want to be! Someone who is confident, always learning, and wanting to improve.
