In order to level up the teaching staff team, provide a platform for teachers in the college to present themselves, learn from and communicate with each other and constantly improve the teaching ability and teaching quality, the International College successfully held the first teaching  contest in March this year with the guidance of the Implementation Plan for the First Teaching Contest of Guangzhou College of Commerce.

Twenty-nine teachers from the International College participated in the final contest, and they were divided into two groups - group of specialized courses and group of language courses. The contestants were required to prepare two different teaching segments, and one of them would be selected for presentation. All of the contestants presented their wonderful course design with calmness and passion, which won the full recognition from the judges. After intense competition, based on the on-site judges' scores and online evaluation scores, 6 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 9 third prizes and 4 fourth prizes were awarded.

Teaching contest enables the increase of the overall level of teachers and the steady rise of teaching quality in the college. Teachers in the college are encouraged to practise more intensively, constantly polish their teaching ability so as to reach a higher teaching level.
