On October 8th, 2023, the 2023 National College Competition on Ideological and Political Teaching Cases in Foreign Language Course officially announced the winners. Yang Yang won the second prize, Chen Hui and Huang Xiaoxuan won the third prize.

The 2023 National College Competition on Ideological and Political Teaching Cases in Foreign Language Course was hosted by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, aiming to thoroughly implement The Guideline of Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities, build a platform for communication and exchange of ideological and political education practice and comprehensively promote the education in colleges and universities with depth, innovation and effectiveness. The competition further promote the co-construction and sharing of high-quality resources, give full play to the exemplary role of excellent cases, and promote the formation of new achievements in ideological and political education in foreign language courses.

After receiving the agenda of the competition, International College attached great importance to it and organized outstanding teachers to prepare for their application. During the preparation, Chen Hui, Huang Xiaoxuan and Yang Yang, based on the teaching materials, explored the ideological and political elements of foreign language courses, flexibly applied digital information teaching resources in their courses, and prepared relevant materials for the competition. Teachers from the college gave full support to the participants and put forward professional suggestions on the teaching content, teaching objectives, the integration design of ideological and political education, teaching methods, teaching implementation process, etc., and assisted the participating teachers to polish the content and connotation of the case, fully demonstrating the organic integration of ideological and political education with knowledge and ability training in teaching.

The construction of ideological and political courses is always the priority in International College. The competition will be regarded as an opportunity for the college to give full play to the leading role of demonstration and further promote the reform of new models and methods of ideological and political courses teaching. Teachers from the college will actively explore and innovate the methods of ideological and political education according to the characteristics of the course, effectively integrate political identity, love for home and the country, cultural literacy, moral cultivation and other elements.
