UK visa application instructions

The notice issued by the British government, from the beginning of June 2013, all applicants applying for a British student visa (TIER 4) in China must conduct an interview, which can be face-to-face, video or telephone interview. Before the interview, the applicant must prepare the following visa application documents:

1.      Current passport (passport can be applied at the local police station or exit & entry administration in registered permanent residence. If you have a passport, you need to have a validity period of more than half year. If you have an old passport, please provide it together and sign it on the last page of the passport).

2.      Two passport photos (45MM * 35MM, color photos with white background)

3.      Fill the student visa form

4.      Visa application charge is £348, and can be paid by Chinese yuan. (the actual payment is based on the amount announced on the official website of the British Visa Center)

5.      Proof of funds (original 300,000 RMB Certificate of time deposit)

Note:

1. It must be time deposit.

2. The amount in the deposit is 300,000 RMB.

3. The account should be under the name of student.

4. The deposit must be kept for 28 days before the visa is submitted.

5. The deposit certificate must be issued within one month before the date of visa submission.

6.      Provide the original regular passbook or original deposit certificate or original bank card running account bill corresponding to the deposit certificate

7.      Original IELTS transcript(Applicants who do not meet the requirements must provide UKVI scores)

8.      Provide the original evidence of enrollment and academic transcript (issued by GCC)

9.      Tuberculosis test results

(The result is valid for 6 months. It is recommended to have a medical examination in April and issue this certificate; you are required to go to the medical testing center designated by the embassy. Australia visa application instructions

Australia Visa requirements:

Ÿ   All forms must be completed in English

Ÿ   English translations are required when you provide materials in Chinese

Ÿ   Please do not provide original documents unless it is requested

After submitting the application, if the information provided changes, the visa approval department must be notified in writing. Otherwise, the Department of Immigration will conduct a visa review based on the materials provided by the applicant when submitting the application.

★ Personal and general documents

The visa application fee is paid in Australian dollars and is paid by credit card, money order or bank check to the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

★Education and language requirements:

1.      Provide original document of Offer of a place in a course issued by the universities in Australia.

2.      The Offer of a place in a course must indicate the level of the course you are attending, the name and code of the course, the CRICOS of the school, commencement date, expected duration and tuition fee. Please note that if the type of visa you are applying for requires you to take an English language course, but the Offer of a place in a course does not provide the language course, it will result in rejection.

3.      A clear copy and notarial deed of the high school graduation certificate (or equivalent academic certificate)

4.      Valid IELTS transcript

★Proof of fund

If any one of you / your spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles pays for your study in Australia, please provide the certificate of employment in workplace where they are currently employed or the work unit before leaving. The certificate of employment should include the job title, salary, other income and length of work.

If any one of you / your spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles pays for your studies in Australia, please provide a clear copy of their additional source of supporting documents and the copy of notarized deed. Additional sources of income include commercial profits, share dividends, etc., and certification materials include tax records or business licenses. These materials must clearly indicate the nature of the income received.

You can provide the materials approved by the Department of Immigration to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses while studying in Australia

The source of funds approved by the Department of Immigration:

Please provide the proof of deposit held by any one of you / your spouse, parents, grandparents , siblings, uncles for at least 6 months before application submission, including the notarized copy of the deposit certificate that can prove that the deposit was still on the account during the application period; a copy of all passbooks and deposit slips involved in the above deposit certificate.

In China, the financial institutions approved by the Department of Immigration to provide student loans and deposits are in the following:

Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, CITIC Industrial Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Bank of Communications, China Everbright Bank, Huaxia Bank, Guangdong Development Bank, Shenzhen Development Bank, China Merchants Bank, Industrial Bank, China Minsheng Bank, Hengfeng Bank, China Zheshang Bank, Bank of Hangzhou, Bank of Shanghai, Standard Chartered Bank (China), HSBC (China)

Applicants must submit the visa application with student application fee in Australian dollars. Applicants must pay the visa application fee to the Australian Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs in the form of credit card, bank check or remittance.

Please note: The Visa Application Centre in Adelaide, South Australia does not accept any personal checks and cash that contained in application materials. The bank cheque paid by the applicant must be issued in Australian dollars and cashed by the Australian bank to the Australian Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs.

The applicant's credit card information can be filled in the visa application form (157A), or can provide another document about credit card information. Credit cards accepted by the Australian Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs are American Express, Visa, Diners, Mastercard and JCB. The information should include the credit card number, expiration date, cardholder name and payment amount, and a copy of the front and back of the credit card must be attached.


U.S. visa application instructions

Applicants for the student visas must visit the embassy at least two months before the start of the semester if the applicants are the first time to United States. Applicants who need to study in the United States for more than one year apply for an F1 visa. To obtain an F1 visa, the applicant must be admitted to an American school and then presenting the I-20 form that is issued by American school when applicants apply for the visa. In addition to obtaining the I-20 form, applicants also need to prove that they have sufficient learning ability and financial ability to complete their studies in the United States.

All student visa applicants should prepare in advance and present the materials related to the visa application during the interview, the requirements are as follows.

1.      Valid passport

The original passport (containing the previous visa to the United States) and the expired passport. If the passport will expire within six months after you arrive U.S. or the passport is damaged, or there is no blank visa page in the passport, you must apply for a new passport before the interview.

2.      Form DS-160 confirmation page.

Complete the page with the Chinese name, Chinese commercial code, Chinese home address, company name and address. Print the confirmation page vertically on A4 paper. 3.      A photograph

The photo is in color with white background and is in the size of 2 inches*2 inches (5cmx125px). The photo should be taken within six month and be sticked on the cover of the passport with transparent tape.

4.      Receipt of application fee

Visa application fee is 1024 RMB and can be paid at China CITIC Bank (for reference only, the actual amount is subject to the amount specified on the official website of the U.S. Consulates)

5.      Register for The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS)

The completed I-20A-B form (The SEVP-approved school will issue applicants a Form I-20) must be signed by the school ’s designated official (DSO) and the applicant himself. The name on the form must be exactly the same as the name on your passport and has been entered into the SEVIS system by an academic institution in the United States.

6.      Receipt of SEVIS

Applicants for F1 visas must pay SEVIS fee. Please bring the electronic receipt or the original I-797 receipt when you come to the interview.

7.      Binding evidence in China

Applicants should present economic, social, family, or other binding documents to help prove that your intent to depart the United States upon completion of the course of study.

8.      Proof of funds

Applicants have to prove their ability to pay for the entire period in the United States without working.

9.      Research / study plan

Applicants should provide the detailed information about their study or research in the U.S., including the name and email address of the tutor and / or dean of the university.

10.   Resume

Applicants should prepare personal resume that describes applicants’ previous study and work (if any) experience.

11.   Academic transcripts for returning students

Returning students who want to return to U.S. schools should submit official academic transcripts when applying for visa

12.   Personal information of tutor

Graduate students who have been assigned tutors at American universities should provide tutors ’personal introductions, resumes, or printed web pages.

The above materials are for reference. The visa officer can request each applicant to provide other necessary supporting documents at any time according to the individual circumstances. Therefore, the applicant must prepare in advance and reasonably explain the purpose of visiting the United States and the reasons for returning to the country during the interview. Applicants are required to present relevant evidence to prove his statement.
